Junkanoo, the concept behind the drums was derived from Africa and today makes it home in the Bahamas. Dressed in their colorful costumes beating drums, blowing horns, blowing whistles and shaking bells, that will definitely make you rise to their feet and join in the parade. 

 

Mocko Jumbie Stilt Dancers 
Originated in West Ghana Africa over 200 years ago, Mocko Jumbie which means “ Good God Good Spirit “ , brings excitement to Juneteenth. Standing 14ft in the sky doing acrobatic stunts that will just dazzle you. South Broward Juneteenth will definitely go to another level.
